This conceptual work is subtle and textured, the artist appeals to nature and implies a link to history.
Examining Lola’s Lichen Series, one perceives the erosive passing of time, which awakens a connection to the collective memory of our ancestors.
The shapes are intended to be pure and simple – almost nonexistent – allowing the texture to speak for itself, finding a way between the soul of an everyday object and its transformation into a unique piece.

To bring this 70 piece collection to life MUSA had commissioned a Barcelona based artist. Lola’s background as a painter refined her skills in the use of glazes; she skillfully employs them the same way an artist would paint on a canvas.
With subtle textures and colours, Lola has created simple but rich dinnerware full of nuances. Her work is void of excess decoration, and carries strict sensorial aesthetics, and deep functional beauty.

To create this set of twelve napkins, MUSA has commissioned a very special workshop located in the Monastery of Santa María de la Sierra on the northern side of the Guadarrama mountains in Segovia, along the borders of a pine forest, and an oak wood. Dating back to the 13th century, it was built in the Cistercian style, during the architectural transition between the Romanesque and Gothic styles.
Additionally, they are cultivating a special garden on the grounds adjacent to the abbey in which specialised dyeing plants are grown as a result of their relationship with the textile world. The main goal of the garden is to spread the colouring use of these plants, which is not widely known, and to awaken an interest in botany.

This set includes four porcelain bowls crafted by an Italian architect in Spain. This technique combines strength and finesse in perfect synergy. The result is unglazed paper thin porcelain. This particular collection is called Topography because of the intentional concentric marks left in the creation layer of the piece. Due to the porous nature of the material, these pieces are intended for decorative use only.

Elegant, sober and strong: tableware for everyday use that is practical for cooking, beautiful at the table and easy to stack. Slightly uneven shapes reveal the natural warmth of handmade pieces, the textured surface awakens the sense of touch and gives an easy grip, and the small imperfections add the feel of craftsmanship. Durable tableware that embellishes with time and use.
Pieces are thrown using high firing porcelain, and the satin white glaze, made of thousands of microcrystals, almost imperceptible at the first look, adds a sparkle at the table. The pieces are made of porcelain, thrown on the electric wheel.
